Thank you for your interest in our practice. The practice was founded in the late seventies by Dr. Kirk Weber. After serving in the military with the Army’s Veterinary Corp, Dr. Weber came to Northern Kentucky and started the Northern Kentucky Animal Clinic. In 1980, Dr. Weber located the practice in Taylor Mill, where it was a mixed animal practice, serving both large farm animals, as well as, small companion pets. After many years as a mixed animal practice, the practice became exclusively a small animal practice. In 2002, Dr. Weber sold the practice to Dr. Jeff Casson. Today, Dr. Weber remains with the practice, as an associate veterinarian. The practice remained at the original location in Taylor Mill until August of 2017, when Dr. Casson relocated the practice to its current location in Independence and changed the name to “NKY Animal Care Center”. Our goal is to provide the highest quality veterinary care to the pets of Independence and to those in the surrounding areas. We provide preventative care which includes services such as vaccines, nutritional consultations, Dental care, Spay and Neuter surgeries and overall wellness programs. We also perform advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures and provide diagnostics and treatments for sick and injured pets. We have the capability of performing many diagnostic tests “in house” and also utilize outside lab and diagnostic services in order to determine your pets problem. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, we will develop a treatment plan and discuss your options for those treatments. When necessary, we may recommend referral to one of the many Specialty Practices in the Greater Cincinnati area. We look forward to meeting you and your pet. Thanks again for your interest in our practice!
